With encouragement and support from my good friend Lesley Barkett, who has been painting faces for several years, I decided to take a face painting workshop offered by Leah Redell,  an award winning face painter from Colorado.  

Going into the workshop, I thought it would be a breeze.  Little did I know.  After the weekend was over, I was unsure if I would ever actually be able to paint faces for a living.  After practicing for about a year and washing off lots of paint, I decided to just go for it.  

Now, I love what I do, and I do it with confidence.  Painting faces is a rewarding, cathartic and artistic process that is always exciting and new.  I love meeting clients and seeing new smiles with every face I paint.
